ABOUT
Tommy Croker Memorial Playing Field, is a very well used and much loved playing field set in the heart of the village.
This unique facility is run as a charity and is managed and maintained by a small committee of volunteers. It is therefore your fellow playing field users and local folk that empty the bins, pick up the litter, maintain the grass and look after the equipment
We encourage you and your family to visit and enjoy this lovely playing field. It is fantastic to see and hear so many little ones clambering around the equipment. We do have one simple ask and that is that you help support us by taking your litter home, please.
Just a few things to remember…
NO Dogs Allowed!
Dogs are strictly not allowed in the park. Yes, that means not even on a lead! The reason is simple. The playing fields is for our little people. They should be able to run around without any risk of treading in something horrible.
There is NO Parking!
The playing fields are located at the top of Mill Lane, a very tight single track lane with no turning areas. There is no parking available at the park; it is VERY IMPORTANT that NO CARS PARK ON THE GRAVEL SLOPED ENTRANCE. There is clear signage in the area to stipulate this. Parking on this track prevents wheelchair, pushchair and emergency vehicle access.
Please do not park at the Village Hall. This is a private car park available only for users of the hall.
If you keep your eyes peeled you will be able to find a suitable and safe place to park that is not too far away.

All you have to do is click through to the next page and donate to our amazing charity and include all of your details and how you would like your Christmas image ‘personally’ signed off. We will then send you via email and text / WhatsApp your personalised image which you can then share with your family and friends via email, social media, SMS or WhatsApp. Please don’t forget to go to your basket and checkout!
For you local folks, and any further afield, if we can help you technically of course we will! With our band of technically, mostly able, band of volunteers, let us help you send it and spread your Christmas Cheer!
Funding the Future
The future of the playing fields relies upon the success of fundraising events, kind donations and the occasional grant. Every bit of equipment, every bark chipping and every grain of sand can be maintained, replenished and improved with your help. That way, the park we enjoy today will be kept beautifully and remain available for the little people that haven’t landed yet!
